Smoothies are very popular, especially during the warm summer months. We have our own wild blueberry smoothie recipe that we love to share with customers, and the wild blueberries from our farm make this smoothie so delicious!
Earlier this month a long-time customer shared that she loves our fresh blueberries and always buys enough to freeze. She doesn’t do much baking and was very happy to find an easy way to add our frozen wild blueberries to her diet. She also commented on how good the smoothie tastes!
Last season another customer sent his teenage daughter to pick up his annual order of blueberries. She said, “My dad eats these every morning in his smoothies. He loves your blueberries!” We enjoy hearing lots of comments like this every year.
Alexander’s Wild Blueberry Smoothie
1 c. Alexander’s frozen wild blueberries (fresh do not work)
1/2 c. vanilla yogurt (Greek has more protein)
1/2 c. skim milk
1-2 Tbsp. honey
2-3 ice cubes
Combine all the ingredients for this wild blueberry smoothie in your blender, NutriBullet or similar kitchen appliance. Makes 1 serving.
Another easy way to enjoy your daily dose of wild blueberries is to combine one cup with 1/2 to 3/4 cup of vanilla yogurt in a cereal bowl. Drizzle honey over the combined blueberries and yogurt and top with granola. After setting for 5 minutes or so, the blueberries have thawed just enough for your first frosty bite. In the summer, I eat this bowl of bliss 2-5 times a week. So easy, so delicious, so nutritious!
Have you reserved your wild blueberries? We make it as easy as possible and no payment is due until you pick up your wild blueberries.
